It is essential to eliminate scattered ray to prevent the quality of film image from lowering. To do this, grids or Air Gap Technique are being used; However, it is easier to use grids to make better image qualities, and thus, the use of grids is highly recommended. This study is to compare selectivity, contrast coefficient and Bucky¢¥s factor with grids used in clinical fields and to lead to better use of grids quality.
The results were as follows
1. The selectivity(S) were 2.99~6.92.
2. Contrast coefficient(K) were 2.07~3.49 showing no difference with grids currently being used.
3. Bucky¢¥s factor(B) were 2.79~6.13 showing little Bucky¢¥s factor used currently, meaning that we can reduce exposure dose that patient may get.
Therefore, it is considered that the use of grids made in korea, will have not poorer effects on image quality compared to those made in foreign countries.
